Longmont Counseling Services, Inc.  Counseling  Staff:

Yolanda Cavazos-Pond, MA, CAC III, Director/Counseling Therapist and Evaluator: Yolanda’s social and cultural background brings an expertise to the counseling field. She has been involved in the counseling arena since 1987.Yolanda displays professionalism and compassion t the individual, couple, and group setting. Holds a Master’s degree in counseling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She is a Certified Addictions Counselor, Senior Level (Level III) and an is a Colorado State approved Domestic Violence treatment provider for male and female clients. Her counseling techniques also include EMDR and Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches in Spanish and English.

Lynn Braunagel, MSW, CAC III, Counseling Therapist and Evaluator: Lynn has been involved in the therapeutic community since 1985. She is a State of Colorado approved Domestic Violence treatment provider and a Certified Addictions Counselor Level III. She is also an approved treatment provider for the Colorado Department of Corrections. She is dedicated to facilitate professional counseling and educational services to adults, adolescents, couples and groups. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services. Her counseling techniques also include Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Hypnosis approaches.

Lisa Mikesell MSW, CAC III, LCSW, Counseling Therapist and Evaluator: Lisa has been involved with the Boulder County therapeutic community since 1980 specializing in the Justice system, Recovery.  She holds a vision is of freedom for those in the legal system and empowers those individuals towards self reliance. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English, a Master’s Degree and License in Clinical Social Work and is a Certified  Addictions Counselor Level III. Her counseling techniques also include Hypnosis approaches.

Alejandro Perez BA, CAC II, Therapist: Alejandro’s social and cultural heritage has allowed him to work as a group facilitator and as a certified consultant for nurturing programs. His areas of expertise are prevention, parent education and family intervention. He has a Bachelor’s Degree physical Education and Recreational Therapy. He is a Certified Addictions Counselor Level II, is Bilingual and has worked in the substance abuse field since 1991.

Jeffrey M. Price MA, LPC, LAC, CGP, Therapist: Jeff has been working in the addictions field since 1991. He holds a Bachelor of  Arts Degree  and a Master’s Degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy. Having bee a Probation Officer for 14 years in New York and over 20 years of recovery; Jeff brings a unique perspective to his work with court-ordered clients. He is a Certified Group Psychotherapist and has been teaching at Neropa University since 2000.

Edith Venegas CAC II, Counselor: Edith has a genuine interest in directing people towards making healthier choices. She developed her strengths by assessing clients’ progress while they were monitored for sobriety and abstinence from substances. Has worked in the substance abuse field since 2001. She is the admissions counselor and facilitates LII education classes in Spanish and English.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT STAFF

Jessica Barron: A member of our monitoring team since 2004. She has a strong work ethic, is Bilingual in Spanish and English. She would like to see people overcome their obstacles in life and become self-sufficient responsible individuals.

Patrick Coffey:  A member of our monitoring team since 1999. Is a retired school teacher and holds a Doctorate degree in School Administration. He loves working with people, and never tires of encouraging others to never give up on themselves in their effortto make positive change.

Theresa Ramirez: Joined our staff in 2007. She distributes her time between being the office manager and monitoring program manager. She is a full time student working on her Associate Degree of Arts with the intention of achieving a degree in Social Work.
